Batik Lobster

Long-legged Batik Lobster is one of the species of Lobster, who lives in the shallow waters of rocky and coral reefs in the tropical region. It grows to a maximum of about 30 cm., But the normal size of an adult is 20 to 25 cm, with a shell length of up to 10 cm. The overall color is dark brown or bluish-brown with numerous circular white spots on the abdomen and rather small spots on other parts of the body. On the legs there are longitudinal bands, sometimes a white spot near the tip of the head.

Long-legged Batik Lobster (Latin: Panulirus longipes) lives in the Indian and Pacific oceans. The catch location is Sri Lanka. The production of lobsters on a large scale is difficult due to the fact that they grow very long.
Dishes from lobster are present in the menu of five-star restaurants on the islands in the Indian Ocean basin, of course, and in Sri Lanka. The lobster is baked, stewed, fried, boiled, added to salads, soups and complex dishes. They cook about the same way as lobsters. At the same time, the taste of lobster meat is much more delicate.
